History
WES World-wide Education Service grew out of the charity Parents' National Education Union (PNEU) founded in 1887 by Charlotte Mason. Charlotte was a pioneer in her belief that education should be a partnership between parents, teachers and students. She also believed that education was most effective when based on first hand observations and developed through interactive learning.
CfBT Education Trust acquired WES in June 2006, thus merging our respective expertise in order to expand and develop our joint services world-wide (please visit www.cfbt.com).
